How to Connect the Device to Vehicle’s Electrical Outlet

Charge your device, before you use your device on battery power.

  • First of all plug the vehicle’s extension cable into the USB port on the device.
  • Then Press the mount onto the suction cup until it has snapped in place.
  • Press the suction cup to the windscreen and flip the lever back towards the windscreen.
  • Insert the tab at the top of the mount into the slot behind the device.
  • Press the device at the bottom of the mount until it clicks.
  • Plug the opposite end of the extension cable into yours vehicle’s power outlet.

How to turn ON and OFF the device

  • Press the power key to turn ON the device, or connect the device to power.
  • Press the power key when the device is on, to place the device in power saving mode. The screen is OFF when in power saving mode and the device uses very little power but can wake up for use instantly.
  • By placing it in power saving mode when charging the battery you can charge your device faster.
  • Hold the power key until a message appears on the screen, and select OFF to turn the device OFF completely.
  • The message pops up after five seconds, when you release the power key before the message is shown, the device will enter power saving mode.

How it will Receive GPS Signals

  • Turn the device ON.
  • Wait for the device to locate the satellite.
  • Go outside to an open field, away from tall buildings and trees if possible.
  • When it turns green the device has received satellite signals and is ready for navigation.

The first time you turn on your navigation device, it may take a few minutes to get satellite signals. The time required to receive satellite signals varies depending on a number of factors, including how far you are from where you last used your navigation device, and the time since you last used your navigation device. The GPS Receiver will collect satellite data and determine the current position when you turn on your navigation system. The satellite signal strength is indicated in the status bar.
