Why Will My Garmin Express Not Sync


Garmin devices use a Garmin account to store data to the cloud for better performance of the device and you can connect multiple devices to the same account. But several reasons may cause issues with the syncing of data. Somehow you manage to pair your Garmin device but it is not connecting to Sync data properly to your Garmin account. If your data from your Garmin device has stopped syncing to your Garmin account, some reasons are causing this issue but don't worry there are steps to troubleshoot the issue and you can solve this issue on your own.
Firstly make sure that you have a Garmin account on which you want to sync data. You can sign up for a Garmin account on the official website to Garmin Express. This account will use to connect to your Garmin devices and for syncing data.
Follow these steps to Troubleshoot the syncing problem:
Make sure that you turn on the Bluetooth setting on your smartphone as well as on the Garmin device and your device is within the range of your smartphone. Either of this issue will lead you to the not syncing problem of your Garmin account and device.
·  Close your Garmin Connect app first and wait for few seconds and then again reopen it. Garmin app works in both Android devices and Apple devices, so steps for the closing of apps on both the devices may differ, make sure you close the app properly before reopening it.
·  Power off the Garmin device and wait for few seconds to turn it back on. For Rechargeable devices without the power button, you can plug your device into a USB power source using a charging wire. This step is very much equivalent to the restart.
·  For the Vivofit devices, you can skip this step because you cannot power cycle your device.
·  Power off your smartphone and wait for a few seconds then power on your smartphone again.
·  Remove your Garmin device from your Garmin account and then add it again from the Garmin Connect app.
Follow these simple steps to solve the syncing problem. You will be able to see when your Garmin Express device is connected and syncing with the Garmin account from the top of the My Day view of the app. The app will display a green dot light when your device start syncing.
