Downloading Map Updates

• You can download free map updates from your my Garmin account.
• Connect your device to your computer. Check  the owner’s manual
• Go to http://my.garmin.com, and log onto your my Garmin account. Notifications appear in the Home tab that informs you of recently purchased map updates and available free updates.
• To download a free update, from the Home tab, click order now,
• Select Download, and click Next
• Select Disk, and click Next to have the mailed map data. Write down your product key, and click Continue
• If “Updating device software” appears then click Accept Agreement to update your device
• Click Download.. Save this file

Installing Map Updates

Firstly you must download the Garmin Map Update application.

1.  Check owner’s manual for your device. 
2.  Run GarminMapUpdate (Windows) or GarminMapUpdateX.X.dmg (Mac).
3.  Select the device you want to update, and click Continue.
4.  Select the check box to accept the license agreement, and click Continue.
5.  Enter your product key, if necessary, and click Continue
6.  If you does not have sufficient storage space , a popup appears asking if you want to back up       and remove data from your device.
7.  Ready to update your maps appears, Click Continue & Click Advanced
8. Select the Save Click No to keep stored music and pictures on your device.
9. select a map region to install.
10. advanced options page, select the destination, then  click o.k.
11. When the installation is complete, click Continue.
12. Click exit.
13. Your  installed  map updates are ready to use
